	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by high voltage levels present at xenon headlamps. Risk of explosion/fire hazard  due to highly flammable substances in the area of damaged xenon bulbs Risk of injury  due to UV light, hot components on xenon headlamps and glass splinters when xenon bulbs burst Risk of poisoning  caused by inhalation of mercury vapors and by toxic salts and mercury compounds being ingested or coming into contact with skin	Do not come into contact with parts that are under high voltage. Persons with active electronic implants  (e.g. heart pacemakers) must never work on xenon headlamps. Switch off entire lighting system. Wear insulated safety shoes, safety glasses and protective gloves. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area.	AS82.10-Z-0001-01A

1	Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless go: Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove the transmitter key from the vehicle and store at a location that is beyond the transmitter range (at least 2 m).
2	Remove right front lamp unit (E2)	Model 219.377 only, when removing xenon headlamp supply module (E2n4) of right front lamp unit (E2).	AR82.10-P-4730TX
3.1	Take off bottom engine compartment panel at front	In vehicles with engine 113, 272, 273	AR61.20-P-1105TX
3.2	Remove bottom section of soundproofing at front	In vehicles with engine 642	AR94.30-P-5300TX
4	Remove front part of left fender liner in the front fender	Only when removing the xenon headlamp supply module (E1n4) of the left front lamp unit (E1) for vehicles with code (489) Airmatic (semi-active air suspension).	AR88.10-P-1300TX
5	Remove bolts (1)	Depending on the vehicle model and equipment the electrical or pneumatic lines have to be moved to one side when removing the xenon headlamp supply module (E1n4) of the left front lamp unit (E1) to enable access to screws (1).
		Torx® trinamic screwdriver
6	Pull xenon headlamp supply module (E1n4 or E2n4) carefully out of left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2)	Check that seal (2) is correctly seated on xenon headlamp supply module (E1n4 or E2n4).
7	Install in the reverse order
