Insertion/extraction of the rubber bushing on the track control arm - AR33.15-P-0170-02T

Mark position (slot) of rubber mount (2) on spring control arm (1) before pressing out.
Press out rubber mount (2) with stamp (3) in bush (4).
Outer ring of rubber mount is under tension

220 589 06 43 08 (4) use from press out/in tool.

Insert rubber mount (2) in clamping device (5) for assembly.
Align slot in the outer ring of the rubber mount to the connecting point of the clamping device (arrow). Allow outer ring of rubber mount to project approx 2 mm (a) from the clamping device.
Tighten nuts (6).
Tighten nut until it is no longer possible to twist or displace the rubber mount by hand.

The upper and lower part of the clamping device should be parallel to one another.
Clamp rubber mount (2) with press
The rubber mount is tensioned correctly when upper section of the clamping device abuts the lower section.
Tighten nut (6) by hand.
Align elongated hole of rubber mount (2) towards the longitudinal axis of the spring control arm (1).

Position slot (arrow) in rubber mount 90° towards the longitudinal axis and on the underside of the spring control arm.

Prepare rubber mount (2) for pressing in.
Put spring control arm (1) on bush (4) (chamfered side of rubber mounting bore (arrow) upwards).

Mount clamping device (5) with rubber mount (2) (projecting part of rubber mount downwards).

Align rubber mount (2) relative to spring control arm (1).
Press rubber mount (2) in spring control arm (1).
Press rubber mount into the spring control using punch (3) through the clamping device (5) Press through punch until it abuts the clamping device.
Open and remove clamping device (5).
