| 3 | Unscrew bolts (4) and remove left engine hood catch (1) from radiator cross member (5) upward | *BA88.40-P-1003-01A | |
| 4.1 | Disconnect electrical connector (6) from right engine hood catch (2) | On vehicles with code (551a) Anti-theft alarm (ATA) | |
| 5 | Unclip outer sleeve mount (7) from release cable (3) on right engine hood catch (2) | ||
| 6 | Unscrew bolts (8) and remove right engine hood catch (2) from radiator cross member (5) upward | *BA88.40-P-1003-01A | |
| 7 | Unhook release cable (3) from right engine hood catch (2) and remove right engine hood catch (2) | ||
| 8 | Unscrew nuts (9) and remove retaining hook (10) | *BA88.40-P-1009-01A | |
| 9 | Install in the reverse order |
