| 1 | Move driver seat all the way down | |
| 2 | Unscrew bolt (2) | |
| 3 | Unclip clip (6) from cover (1) | |
| 4 | Pull engine hood release (3) out of the cover (1), detach release cable (4) and remove hood release (3) | |
| 5 | Remove bolts (5) | |
| 6 | Fold cover (1) downward | |
| 7 | Slide arresting mechanism at data link connector (X11/4) in the direction of arrow and remove data link connector (X11/4) from cover (1) | |
| 8 | Unclip central gateway control unit (N93) | |
| 9 | Disconnect electrical connector (7) at the left front footwell lamp (E17/16) | |
| 10 | Remove cover (1) out of the footwell | |
| 11 | Install in the reverse order |
