	Before opening the hydraulic circuit of the power steering, thoroughly clean the surrounding area of the separation point. Even the smallest dirt particles introduced into the hydraulic components can lead to malfunctions and damage to the power steering

1.3	Remove front engine cover (1)	Model 211 with engine 156 To prevent damage and scratches, lift front engine cover (1) straight up and out without tilting it and place it on a padded base.
	Checking
2	Check fluid level in expansion reservoir, adjust to correct level if necessary	Observe temperature specification and fill level marking on dipstick. If there is no temperature specification, read off the fluid level at an oil temperature of approx. 20°C. If the fluid level is too low, determine cause and eliminate subject to a separate order.
