ESP Off switch, component description - GF42.45-P-5121SX

Location 

The cockpit switch group with the ESP OFF switch is located on the right next to the instrument cluster (A1).

Task 

The Electronic Stability Program) (ESP) can be switched active and passive using the ESP OFF switch.

Function 

The ESP OFF switch signal is read in via the OBF-LIN [upper control panel-local interconnect network] by the upper control panel control unit (N72/1). The upper control panel control unit transmits the signal on the interior CAN.

The ESP control unit (N47-5) switches the ESP function passive. ESP is always active during a brake application.

IMPORTANT The ESP warning lamp (A1e41) in the instrument cluster lights up permanently when ESP is switched passive.
