| 1 | Remove right side paneling in trunk | ||

| 2 | Disconnect trunk lid position sensor connector (B24/16x1) | ||
| 3 | Expose electric wiring harness (4) on trunk lid position sensor (B24/16) | ||
| 4 | Press ball socket (8) off of hinge lever (7) and ball socket (2) off of rear fender | ||
| 5 | Remove hydraulic cylinder (1). | ||
| 6 | Unscrew bolt (6) and remove trunk lid position sensor (B24/16) together with electric wiring harness (4). | ||
| 7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 8.1 | Synchronize sensor to trunk lid position sensor (B24/16) | Only when replacing trunk lid position sensor (B24/16). If sensor synchronization is not successful, the operation can be repeated as frequently as required. Sensor synchronization: Move trunk lid by hand once up to upper stop, then close by hand and press into trunk lid lock. Open trunk lid, remove intermediate connector and directly reconnect trunk lid position sensor connector (B24/16x1). Erase error message "Sensor error" now present with STAR DIAGNOSIS. |
