Check function of headlamp range adjustment - AP82.10-P-8250EW

  Preparatory tasks    
1 Park the vehicle on a horizontal, level surface The light beam characteristics can be checked on an opposite wall that is as parallel as possible to the front bumper.  
2 Switch on low beam at exterior lights switch_(5)

3.1 Start engine and check light beam movement Vehicles without headlamp range controller (6)
With active headlamps, the light beams of both headlamps must move first to the adjustment limits and then to the drive position. With passive headlamps in combination with active suspension, the light beams only move during level adjustment of the active suspension.
With passive headlamps in combination with passive suspension, the light beams do not move at all.
In the case of complaints concerning active headlamps: ↓
Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
 
3.2 Start engine and check headlamp range adjustment for proper operation by adjusting headlamp range controller (6) Vehicles with headlamp range controller (6)
The light beams of both headlamps must adjust uniformly corresponding to the adjustment of the headlamp range controller (6).
If there are problems: ↓
Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
 
  Concluding tasks     
4 Reset switch positions of vehicle to input condition Move the headlamp range controller (6) to the appropriate position for the vehicle load status.
