Location
The frequency switchover control unit is located in the trunk under the trunk mat on the crossmember.
Task
The frequency switchover control unit splits the incoming mobile phone signals or data from the multifunction antenna (A28/11) and sends them to the emergency call system control unit or the mobile phone cradle (A34/15).
For a vehicle-related service of the Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand system (emergency call system) (TELE AID) the frequency switchover control unit routes the data and signals from the emergency call system control unit to the multifunction antenna.
If the mobile phone is placed in the cradle, the frequency switchover control unit forwards the mobile phone signals or data from the cradle to the multifunction antenna.
In the event of a vehicle-related service (e.g. MB Info call), any active mobile phone connections are interrupted.
