Location 

The Audio/COMAND display is fitted centrally on top of the dashboard.

Task 

The main task of the audio/COMAND display is the uniform presentation of user-relevant navigation/operating/information windows.

Design 

The Audio/COMAND display is a fixed 5"-TFT color screen with a resolution of 277 x 124 x 3 (RGB) pixels

Function 

The display and menu presentation is transmitted digitally by the following components via a Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) line and shown in the Audio/COMAND display:

• Radio (A2), with code (523) MB Audio 20 radio or with code (510) Audio 20 with CD changer
• Radio with auto pilot system (A2/56), with code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio or with code (511) Audio 50 APS with DVD changer

A connection to the telematics CAN exists for the control and diagnosis of the Audio/COMAND display.
