Remove/install overhead control panel control unit - AR82.20-P-1000CW

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Perform initial startup of overhead control panel control unit (N70) or overhead control panel electronics (N70/3) with Star Diagnosis When replacing overhead control panel control unit (N70) with code (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof or with code (965) Electrical preinstallation for rental vehicles.
IMPORTANT With code (882) Interior monitoring Also perform initial startup of ATA [EDW] control unit.

2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit IMPORTANT KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only on vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go.  
3.1 Unclip mirror base cover (1) Model 204, 207.3, 212, 218
SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge

3.2 Unclip rain sensor cover Model 207.4 without code (513) Speed Limit Assist or code (608) Automatic high beam recognition  
3.3 Slide cover for rain sensor to the foremost position and remove downwards Model 207.4 with code (513) Speed Limit Assist or code (608) Automatic high beam recognition  
4 Use a check card (2) or similar object to release the lock (3) and fold down overhead control panel control unit (N70) or electronic overhead control panel (N70/3) at rear and unhook at front (arrows) IMPORTANT Depending on vehicle equipment.  
5 Detach all electrical connectors on the overhead control panel control unit (N70) or electronic overhead control panel (N70/3) IMPORTANT Depending on vehicle equipment.  
6 Install in the reverse order    
7 Normalize tilting/sliding roof When replacing overhead control panel control unit (N70) with code (414) Power glass titling/sliding roof.
