Retrofit iPod wiring harness - AZ82.60-P-0001-02CW

Open flap of glove box (1).
Remove electrical connector for AUX connection (X39/45) from glove box (1).
Installation of the electrical connector for AUX connection (X39/45) depends on the vehicle equipment.

Remove damping material (arrow in picture A) in area where hole is to be made.
Make bore with diameter of 20 mm for iPod wiring harness. Rechargeable drill/screwdriver

Insert and route iPod coupling (2) of iPod wiring harness (4) from the inside to the outside through the hole in the glove box.
Connect interface connector (6) to iPod interface (3) (arrow in picture B).
Strap down excess length of iPod wiring harness (4).
Fit grommet (5) into hole of glove box and route iPod wiring harness (4) and fasten in place.
If the diameter of the hole in the glove box is not large enough to accommodate the grommet (5), enlarge the hole until the grommet (5) can be fitted tightly.
Install electrical connector for AUX connection into glove box.
Only for vehicles in which an electrical connector for the AUX connection is installed.
