Retrofit iPod interface wiring harness - AZ82.60-P-0001-01CW

The following installation is given here by way of an example on a vehicle with code (527) COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation).

1. Remove 2-pin coupling for Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) (22) from on-board coupling of COMAND operating, display and controller unit and install into coupling for radio adapter (14) on the interface wiring harness.

   Installation of the 2-pin coupling for MOST (22) is dependent on the vehicle equipment.

2. Route interface wiring harness (8) with interface coupling (7), as shown, from the mounting recess for the COMAND operating, display and controller unit into the front passenger footwell and fasten in place.

   Interface connector (7) is connected to the iPod interface at a later time.

3. Connect on-board coupling (13) of the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) with the radio adapter plug (12) from the interface wiring harness and then wrap felt tape around connection.
4. Stow interface wiring harness in lower area of mounting recess for COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3).
5. Contact radio adapter coupling (14) of interface wiring harness to COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3).
