IMPORTANT Perform for following wheel/tire combination only:

8.5JX18 ET 30 and 225/40 ZR 18 tires on front axle or 8.5JX18 ET 30 and 255/35 ZR 18 tires on rear axle.

NOTES A condition for using the wheel/tire combination is that the work described is carried out in full. IMPORTANT In the Federal Republic of Germany after the modification, a change acceptance is required by an officially recognized expert or inspector from a technical test point for motor vehicle traffic or by a test engineer from an officially recognized supervisory organization.

IMPORTANT Wheel/tire combination/Tire make/Snow chains/Tire pressure IMPORTANT See TUV certificate.  
REMOVING Remove     
1 Removing standard wheels   AZ40.10-P-0001-03A 
2.1 Remove both fender liners from front fenders IMPORTANT Only with 8.5JX18 ET 30 and 225/40 ZR 18 tires on the front axle.  
    NOTES Mark the area to be sanded for identification before removing.  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR88.10-P-1300V
3.1 Remove both fender liners from rear fenders IMPORTANT Only with 8.5JX18 ET 30 and 255/35 ZR 18 tires on the rear axle.  
    NOTES Mark the area to be sanded for identification before removing.  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR88.10-P-1400V
4.1 Rework body at the front wheel housings IMPORTANTOnly with 8.5J X 18 ET 30 and 225/40 ZR 18 tires on the front axle.   
    Sand shaded area (a) and shaded area (b) on the fender board and the bumper in the direction of dimension (A) = 60 mm to max. 5 mm width until sufficient clearance for the wheel is obtained.   
5.1 Rework body at the rear wheel housings IMPORTANTOnly with 8.5J X18 ET 30 and 255/35 ZR 18 tires on the rear axle.   
    Sand shaded area (a) and shaded area (b) on the fender board and the bumper in the direction of dimension (B) = 100 mm to max. 4 mm width until sufficient clearance for the wheel is obtained.   
6.1 Use suitable means to protect the sanded areas against corrosion IMPORTANT Only if step 4.1 or 5.1 was performed.  
INSTALLING Install     
7.1 Install both fender liners into the front fenders IMPORTANT Only with 8.5J X18 ET 30 and 225/40 ZR 18 tires on the front axle.  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR88.10-P-1300V
8.1 Install both fender liners into the rear fenders IMPORTANT Only with 8.5J X 18 ET 30 and 255/35 ZR 18 tires on the rear axle.  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR88.10-P-1400V
9.1 Retrofit wide tire covers on rear fenders IMPORTANT In certain countries it may be necessary to install additional parts at the rear axle in order to produce sufficient wheel coverage with 245/35 ZR 18 or 255/35 ZR 18 tires, if these parts do not already exist on the production vehicle. See parts ordering notes.  
    This also applies to vehicles with AMG styling package - front spoiler, side skirts and rear apron (code 772).

10 Fit special wheels IMPORTANT Only use spherical collar bolts M12X1.5X40 for bolting on custom wheels. -
