	Remove/install
	Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	-
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		-
Installation	Tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components only in curb condition.
1	Remove cover (72c) of spring link (72).
2	Insert clamping plates (01b, 01c) in the rear spring (73)	Tensioning plates	Fig 3
3	Insert tensioning device (01a) in the clamping plates (01b, 01c)	Tensioning device	Fig 2
	Risk of injury  caused by pinching or jamming  when working on loaded springs or spring bodies	Use only approved clamping devices; shield off hazard area if necessary. Check special tools for damage (visual inspection) and function. Wear protective gloves.	-
4	Tension rear spring (73)		-
	Springs; general background information.		-
5	Unscrew nut (72b), pull out bolt and detach spring link (72) from rear axle carrier	Using assembly lever, press spring link out of spring link support on rear axle carrier.

6	Remove rear spring (73)	Clean support surface of rear spring (73). After replacing the rear spring or rubber mount (74): ↓
		Check and correct headlamp setting	AP82.10-P-8260V
7	Install in the reverse order
