	Remove
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	-
	Risk of injury caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under load	Use only approved tensioning devices; shield off hazard area if necessary. Inspect special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection). Wear protective gloves.	-
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		-
1	Remove front suspension strut (12)		AR32.25-P-1017V
	Disassemble
2	Clamp tensioning device (01) in vise and insert clamping plate (02) and clamping plates (03).	Tensioning device	Fig 3

3	Install suspension strut (12) in spring compressor (01)	Ensure that suspension strut (12) is seated correctly in clamping plates. The area for assembly to the wheel carrier must point towards the tensioning device (01) (arrow). Attach the clamping plate (02) so that at least three windings of the spring (6) are clamped. Ensure that the spring (6) seats correctly in the clamping plate (02) (enlarged section).
4	Clamp spring (6) until the upper spring cup (10) is relieved of load
5	Unscrew nut (11)	Counterhold piston rod (2) using the Allen wrench.
6	Remove upper spring cup (10) with support washer (9), mount (8) and upper spring seat (7) from piston rod (2)	Check all components for wear and replace if necessary.
7	Unclamp spring (6) and take suspension strut (12) out of the tensioning device (01)
8	Remove spring (6), stop damper (5) with bellows (4) and lower spring seat (3) from shock absorber (1)	Check all components for wear and replace if necessary.
9	Check shock absorber (1).		AR32.25-P-0121V
	Assemble
10	Mount lower spring seat (3) and stop rubber (5) with bellows (4) on shock absorber (1)	Ensure bulb is correctly installed.
11	Insert shock absorber (1) and spring (6) in tensioning device (01)	Ensure that shock absorber (1) is seated correctly in clamping plates (03). The area for assembly to the wheel carrier must point towards the tensioning device (01) (arrow). Pay attention to installation position of spring (6). Ensure that the spring (6) seats correctly in the clamping plate (02) (enlarged section). Attach the clamping plate (02) so that at least three windings of the spring (6) are clamped and the clamping plate (02) cannot be jammed between the spring (6) and the upper spring seat (7) when the spring (6) is subsequently relieved of load.
12	Clamp (6) until the upper spring cup (10) can be mounted
13	Mount upper spring cup (10) with support washer (9), mount (8) and upper spring seat (7)
14	Screw nut (11) onto piston rod (2)	Counterhold piston rod (2) using the Allen wrench.

15	Unclamp spring (6) and take suspension strut (12) out of the tensioning device (01)
	Install
16	Install front suspension strut (12)		AR32.25-P-1017V
