Remove/install heater housing - AR83.25-P-1000V

	Remove/install
1	Drain coolant from radiator	Model 171.442	AR20.00-P-1142V
		Model 171.454/456	AR20.00-P-1142VA
		Model 171.473	AR20.00-P-1142PV
2.1	Remove water collector	Model 171.442	AR83.25-P-1402V
2.2	Remove air filter housing	Model 171.454/456	AR09.10-P-1150VA
		Model 171.473	AR09.10-P-1150AC
3	Release clamp (2) and disconnect heating water feed device (3)	Collect escaping coolant.
4	Seal connection fitting of distributor heating water feed device (3) on the heater housing (1) using a suitable sealing cap	This helps to prevent the interior of the vehicle from being soiled when removing the heater housing (1).
5	Clamp off heating water return hoses (5) with hose clamp pliers, release clamps (4), and detach heating water return hoses (5)	Collect escaping coolant.
6	Seal the connection fittings of the heater water return hoses (5) on the heater housing (1) using suitable sealing caps	This helps to prevent the interior of the vehicle from being soiled when removing the heater housing (1).
7	Remove instrument panel carrier		AR68.10-P-1111V
8	Disconnect electrical connector (6) from heater housing (1)
9	Release locking hook (8) on plug (7), slide plug (7) down and remove
10	Remove condensation water drain hoses (9) from heater housing (1) connection fittings	Installation:  Moisten connection fittings of condensation water drain hoses (9) on heater housing (1) using antifriction agent. Check the condensation water drain hoses (9) are correctly seated on the heater housing connection fittings (1).

11	Withdraw heater housing (1) toward rear with assistant and remove from vehicle interior	Always remove and install the AC housing (1) from the vehicle with an assistant. Avoid damaging interior compartment and heater housing (1). Installation:  Wet seals (11) using lubricant. Grease receptacles (12).

		Antifriction agent	*BR00.45-Z-1010-06A
12	Check gaskets (10) and sealings (11) for signs of wear; replace if necessary
13	Install in the reverse order
14	Synchronize the actuator motors	Menu item, Actuation, Normalization of actuator motors.
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
