REPAIR MATERIALS

BR00.45-Z-1001-07A Zinc dust paint suitable for spot welding A 000 986 34 42
  1. Expose spot welds on inner B-pillar (1) (areas A, B, C and D).
  2. Cut spot welds out on inner B-pillar (1) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld milling cutter or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS spherical milling cutter (areas A, B, C and D).

  3. Expose spot welds on inner B-pillar (1) (area E and arrows).
  4. Cut spot welds out on inner B-pillar (1) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld milling cutter or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS spherical milling cutter (area E and arrows).

  5. Expose welds on inner B-pillar (1) (area F).
  6. Cut weld on inner B-pillar (1) with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS spherical milling cutter (area F).

  7. Sand connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  8. Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  9. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

  10. Grind connection surface down to bare metal in shaded area
  11. Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
