1 Open Vario roof completely IMPORTANT See Operating Instructions
2 Check pre-tension of rear shelf main flap (1) at trunk lid (2) IMPORTANT The seals on the rear shelf main flap (1) and rear shelf side flaps (7) must contact the trunk lid (2) under slight pre-tension (arrow).
3 Using a straightedge, check the blending (D) from the roll bar paneling (3) to the rear shelf main flap (1) IMPORTANT The rear shelf main flap (1) should be flush with the roll bar paneling (3) or be a maximum of 2 mm higher than the roll bar paneling (3).
4 Check the alignment of the rear shelf main flap (1) with the roll bar paneling (3) and with the left and right upper center pillar paneling (4) IMPORTANT The deviation from the parallel air gap of the joints (A, B) must be a maximum of 1 mm over the entire length.

7.1 Adjust the pre-tension of the rear shelf main flap (1) in relation to the trunk lid (2) by adjusting the left and right stop screw (8) When the pretension of the rear shelf main flap (1) in relation to the trunk lid (2) has to be adjusted.
NOTES Twist the left and right stop screw (8) evenly. Other noise can occur when the Vario roof is operated as the mechanism of the rear shelf main flap (1) is distorted with the slightest deviation.
IMPORTANT The pre-tension is increased when the stop screws (8) are screwed in. The pretension is reduced by unscrewing the stop screws (8).
To loosen, twist and lock the stop screw (8) use a double socket wrench WAF 10 (9) with a suitable Allen wrench (10).

8.1 Install left and right center pillar paneling (4) When the preload of the rear shelf main flap (1) in relation to the trunk lid (2) had to be adjusted. AR68.30-P-1077V
9 Stick on intermediate layers (5) with sealing compound or similar and a result secure it to prevent it from falling down
10 Loosen screws (6) until the intermediate layers (5) can be removed or inserted
11 Adjust the blending (D) by removing or inserting intermediate layers (5) IMPORTANT To check the adjustment, close the trunk lid (2) completely using the power soft top switch.
The rear shelf main flap (1) should be flush with the roll bar paneling (3) or be a maximum of 2 mm higher than the roll bar paneling (3).

12 Tighten the screws (6) until the rear shelf main flap (1) can still be moved IMPORTANT For tightening, the rear shelf main flap (1) must be vertical.
