Remove/install the suspension strut - AR32.25-P-1017R (with Active Body Control)

	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing hydraulic fluid.	Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.	AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
	Notes on active body control suspension		AH32.50-P-0001-01N
1	Open engine hood		AR88.40-P-1000R
2.1	Separate the connector on the left front plunger travel sensor (B22/4) or on the right front plunger travel sensor (B22/5)	Model 230.467 /474 /475 /476 /479 Each time a suspension strut is exchanged the plunger travel sensors must be calibrated using STAR DIAGNOSIS in the control unit adaptations menu.
3	Unscrew nuts (40c)		*BA32.25-P-1001-04B
4	Remove front wheel
	Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary		AP40.10-P-4050Z
5	Relieve pressure in ABC system		AR32.50-P-0001-01N
6	Undo quick-release coupling (40b) on hydraulic line	Ensure that no dirt gets into the open quick-release coupling as this can lead to the failure of the ABC system. Installation:  Take care to ensure that the quick-release coupling is completely locked into place.
7	Unscrew nut (40a) on spring control arm (17)		*BA32.25-P-1007-04B
8	Press suspension strut (40) out of spring control arm (17) using puller and thrust piece	Puller	Fig 2

9	Remove suspension strut (40) downwards	Do not damage boot of suspension strut.
	Dispose of suspension strut.		OS32.25-P-0122-01N
10	Install in the reverse order
11	Fill and bleed ABC system		AR32.50-P-0021N
