ABC control unit, component description - GF32.50-P-4501R

MODEL 230 as of 1.3.06 with CODE (487) Active Body Control (ABC) 

Location 

The ABC control unit is installed on the left behind the cockpit crossmember.

Task 

The ABC control unit is used in the partially active suspension system, Active Body Control (ABC).

The system uses four hydraulic plungers to apply active force to each wheel.

The control intervention functions are effective up to a frequency range of approx. 5 Hz.

For this purpose, the system requires an extensive sensor and actuator system which is evaluated, monitored and actuated by the control unit.
