Retrofit wiring harness for video jack - AZ82.60-P-0022-01SX
- Drill a hole (14) for the video jack (12) with a diameter of 5.5 mm in the glove compartment (8) as per the dimensions.
- Route yellow (ge) and black (sw) line of wiring harness for video jack (13) as per the picture from inside of the glove compartment (8) through hole (14) and insert video jack (12) in hole (14).
- Attach wiring harness for video jack (13) as per the picture with a cable tie on the housing of the AUX jack (2) (see arrow in left magnifier).
Attach wiring harness for video jack (13) on housing of AUX jack (2) in such a manner that the housing of the video jack (12) makes close contact with the inside of the glove compartment (8) (see right magnifier) and the video jack (12) cannot be drawn into the glove compartment (8).
- Fix wiring harness for video jack (13) into position at wiring harness for AUX jack (1) with line fabric tape as per the picture.
- Position glove compartment (8) in front passenger footwell.
- Route yellow (ge) and black (sw) line of wiring harness for video jack (13) in the radio recess as per the picture.
- Disconnect black, 22-pin coupling (5) of COMAND control unit (A40/3).
- Release lock (see arrow) on side at coupling (5) and pull black, 20-pin contact carrier (6) of on-board wiring harness (4) out of coupling (5).
- Insert black line (sw) of wiring harness for video jack (13) into contact cavity 18 of black, 20-pin contact carrier (6).
- Insert yellow line (ge) of wiring harness for video jack (13) into contact cavity 8 of black, 20-pin contact carrier (6).
- Install 20-pin contact carrier (6) into black, 22-pin coupling and connect black, 22-pin coupling to COMAND control unit.
- Fix wiring harness for video jack (13) in position at on-board wiring harnesses free of chafing and noise.
Wiring harness for video jack (13) can only be fixed into position free of chafing and noise after installation of the glove compartment.
