Removing rear head restraint - AR91.16-P-1770SXS

	Removing
1	Unclip covers of left or right head restraint (1) from rear shelf		Figure
2	Lower head restraint (1)
3	Remove rear seat backrest		AR91.12-P-1620SXS
4	Release sound deadening mat (3)
5	Lift Bowden cable nipple (2) using a suitable screwdriver (5) while simultaneously fully assembling head restraint (1)	While assembling the head restraint (1), lift Bowden cable nipple (2) until it comes out of the rear shelf.
6	Release left and right release spring (6) on left rear head restraint inclination adjustment motor (M18/15) or on the right rear head restraint inclination adjustment motor (M18/16) using suitable screwdriver (5), pull out and remove head restraint (1)	The release springs (6) can be accessed through openings underneath the coverings on the parcel shelf.
	Install
7	Clip the coverings for the head restraint (1) into the parcel shelf
8	Insert head restraint (1), guide Bowden cable nipple (2) into rear shelf and simultaneously lower head restraint (1) all the way	The head restraint (1) must latch audibly into place on both sides and the Bowden cable nipple (2) must be visible in the opening on the rear panel (4) after the head restraint (1) has been lowered. Check Bowden cable nipple (2) is correctly seated.
9	Attach sound deadening mat (3)
10	Install rear seat backrest		AR91.12-P-1620SXS
