Prepare rear longitudinal member for installation - AR64.20-P-1200-23SX

  1. Grind connection surfaces on rear longitudinal member (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS round wire brush.
  2. IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  3. Coat insides of spot welding flange and rivet connections not additionally glued with zinc dust paint.
  4. NOTES Do not coat gluing surfaces with zinc dust paint to prevent adhesion problems (areas A, B and C).

    IMPORTANT Observe preliminary treatment of surfaces to be bonded.

  5. Grind connection surfaces on rear longitudinal member (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS round wire brush.
  6. IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

    NOTES Do not coat gluing surfaces with zinc dust paint to prevent adhesion problems (areas D, E, F, G and H).

    IMPORTANT Observe preliminary treatment of surfaces to be bonded.

  7. Coat insides of spot welding flange and rivet connections not additionally glued with zinc dust paint.

  9. Grind connection surfaces on rear locking lug (2) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS round wire brush.
  10. IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  11. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
  12. Grind connection surfaces on locking lug above rear axle (3) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS round wire brush.
  13. IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  14. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
