  1. Partially grind mating surfaces on rear longitudinal member (4) down to bare metal in shaded areas with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS round wire brush or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS abrasive disk.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  2. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
  3. Grind mating surfaces on locking lug above rear axle (7) down to bare metal in shaded areas with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS round wire brush or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS abrasive disk.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  4. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
