Open engine hood, move to upright position and close - AR88.40-P-1000RT

DANGER Risk of death  caused by contact with parts conducting high voltages. Do not touch parts which conduct high voltages. Persons who wear electronic implants (e.g. heart pacemakers) must not carry work out on the ignition system AS15.10-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
  Open engine hood     
1 Pull lever (1) in left side of footwell to unlock the engine hood (2) IMPORTANT Engine hood jumps open; lift engine hood slightly if necessary.  
2 Raise handle (3) and open engine hood IMPORTANT Windshield wiper arms must not be folded forward.  
  Move to upright position     
3 Press red release button (4) on gas-operated strut and position engine hood vertically    
  Close engine hood     
4 Press red release button (4) on gas-operated strut and close engine hood (2) IMPORTANT Place your hands only on the front edges of the hood.  
5 Pull engine hood firmly upwards to check the latching function of the engine hood catch
