Flushing out oil cooler lines and oil cooler - AR27.55-P-0001GA

MODIFICATION NOTES

30.5.07 Kerosene cleaning agent replaced by automatic transmission fluids (ATF, specification 236.10) for the flushing process. Step 3  
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Before opening the hydraulic system, thoroughly clean the area surrounding the separation point. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system    
1 Unscrew drain plug from the transmission oil pan and drain transmission oil    
  Flushing     
2 Connect hand pump (2) to reservoir (3) IMPORTANT Observe connection direction (A, B).

3 Fill reservoir (3) with transmission oil    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Automatic transmission fluids (ATF, Sheet 236.10)   BB00.40-P-0236-10A
4 Detach oil cooling feed line for transmission cooler (5) and oil cooling return line for transmission oil cooler (6) from automatic transmission    
5 Fit plastic hose to connection fitting (1) and connect to oil cooling feed line for transmission oil cooler (5) or oil cooling return line for transmission oil cooler (6) using appropriate connector (4) IMPORTANT If necessary, secure the plastic hose on the connection fitting (1) using a hose clamp.  
6 Use an appropriate connector (4) to connect a second plastic hose to the oil cooling return line for the transmission oil cooler (6) or to the oil cooling feed line for the transmission oil cooler (5)    
7 Operate hand pump (2) and flush out oil cooling feed line for transmission oil cooler (5), oil cooler and oil cooling return line for transmission oil cooler (6) with transmission oil IMPORTANT In the event of severe contamination, change the transmission oil several times.
IMPORTANT Collect transmission oil which flows out in a container. Ensure that the transmission oil flows freely.

8 Detach plastic hose from connection fitting (1)    
9 Remove hand pump    
10 Detach all connectors (4) from oil cooling feed line for transmission oil cooler (5) and oil cooling return line for transmission oil cooler (6)    
11 Mount oil cooling feed line for transmission oil cooler (5) and oil cooling return line for transmission oil cooler (6) to automatic transmission IMPORTANT Replace gaskets.  
12 Screw oil drain screw into automatic transmission oil pan (7) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA27.10-P-1001-03A 
13 Check oil level in automatic transmission, correct if necessary   AR27.00-P-0100AC
