NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
3 Release notch (4, 5) of hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) on intake manifold NOTES Do not use force as the notches (4, 5) may break off! If the notches (4, 5) break off the complete hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) must be replaced.
IMPORTANT Pull notches (4, 5) outwards until they cannot engage in the intake manifold again

4 Press back retaining clamp (6) and remove hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) upwards NOTES Do not use force as the notches (4, 5) may break off! If the notches (4, 5) break off the complete hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) must be replaced.
IMPORTANT In the process do not damage the guard net (7), it cannot be replaced separately

INSPECT Checking
5 Check seal (8) between air duct housing (9) and the hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) IMPORTANT Check seal (8) for damage; replace if necessary.
6 Check notches (4, 5) IMPORTANT If notches (4, 5) are damaged, then the complete hot film MAF sensor (B2/5) must be replaced.
7 Install in the reverse order
8 Read out fault memory and erase if necessary IMPORTANT Stored faults which can result from electrical lines being disconnected or from simulation have to be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.
