Tire pressure monitor (TPM), activation - GF40.15-P-0001-02T

Model 211 up to 31.08.02 

If the tire pressure is changed by the driver, or if a wheel is replaced or a tire is changed, the set air pressure values must be stored in the TPM control unit (N88) as nominal monitoring values.

Proceed as follows:

• Correct the air pressure at each wheel.
• Switch on ignition (terminal 15).

  Engine ON or OFF.

• Use the scroll forward/back pushbutton (S110s1) to select the tire pressure monitor system.

• Press the instrument illumination dimmer and reset button (A1r1). The previous pressure display changes to the selection screen with the default "NO" selected.

• Press the "+" key on the + and - pushbutton (setting of specific functions and volume control) (S111s1) on the multifunction steering wheel. The selection screen appears for approx. 2 s with "YES" selected and then changes immediately to the confirmation screen.

  All other buttons cause the activation sequence to be aborted.

• Immediately after the engine is started, the pressure display appears without numerical values.

  If activation is performed with the engine running, this display is approximately 30 s out of synchronization.

• The current tire pressures are displayed after approx. 10 min driving time. The activation sequence is complete.
