Reworking body at rear wheel houses - AZ40.10-P-0001-10T

  1. Set the fender flange in several stages in the marked area (B).

NOTESUse a plastic mallet to avoid damaging paint.

Carefully heat outer edges of fender to max. 70 to 80°C using a hot air blower.

Do not overheat paint when heating up (maximum 80°C). Repair any damage to the paint.

  2. Check tire clearance with a fully compressed rear axle and of necessary intensify the rework.
  3. When the rear axle is compressed, check the clearance between the tire and rear apron end face or wheelhouse insert (in the region of the transition rear apron/side piece).

IMPORTANT If necessary make the clearance by reworking.

  4. Re-preserve wheel housing with underfloor protection and spray the repositioned fender edges with cavity preservation.
