Remove A-pillar together with side longitudinal member - AR63.20-P-1150-01T

  1. Mark separation points and cut (areas A, B, C and D).

    IMPORTANT Dimension w approx. 200 mm. Dimension x approx. 150 mm. Dimension y approx. 100 mm.

    Dimension y1 approx. 130 mm. Dimension z approx. 630 mm.

    IMPORTANT Do not damage floor located behind (area D).

  2. Remove section.

  3. Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld cutter (areas K, L, AV and BN).
  4. Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld cutter (area AW).
  5. SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD separate (areas BI and BL).
  6. Unscrew door hinges.
  7. Remove section from A-pillar

  8. Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld cutter (areas O, AO, AQ, BF and BS).
  9. Remove reinforcements for hinges.

  10. Mark separation point (area M).

    IMPORTANT Dimension x1 approx. 50 mm.

  11. Separate paneling and longitudinal member (area M).
  12. Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld cutter (areas K1, L1, AQ, AR and AV).
  13. Remove inner A-pillar and section from longitudinal member.

  14. Mark separation points (areas P, Q, T and U).

    IMPORTANT Dimension v approx. 50 mm. Dimension xx approx. 50 mm.

    Dimension xy approx. 100 mm.

  15. Separate paneling (areas P and T).
  16. Cut reinforcement (area Q).
  17. Separate paneling and center A-pillar (area U).
  18. Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld cutter (areas K2, R, S, AA and AB).
  19. Remove sections

  20. Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld cutter (areas BJ, BK and BR).
  21. Remove section from longitudinal member.

  22. Grind connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas. Sand spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides

  23. Grind connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas. Sand spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides
  24. Remove grinding and drilling chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  25. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
