Install firewall half - AR62.25-P-1110-05T

  1. Install inner A-pillar with side portal frame, check and welding gage and clamping pliers, fit and fasten.

    IMPORTANT Use spacers.

  2. Remove test and welding gage for instrument carrier mount.

  3. Install, fit and fasten upper cross member below windshield, lower cross member below windshield, firewall half, cross member at firewall, wheelhouse and reinforcement at cross member with cross member below instrument panel, straightening tool and clamping pliers.

  4. Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes (areas H, AE, AF, AH and AS).

  5. Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes (areas E, F, G, J, AJ, AK, AL, AR and AT).
  6. Remove cross member below instrument panel.
  7. Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes (area AQ).
  8. Install test and welding gage for instrument carrier mount.

  9. Remove check and welding gage for A-pillar mount
  10. Install center A-pillar and longitudinal member with check and welding gage for A-pillar mount, fit and fasten.
  11. Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes (areas AU and AV).

  12. Remove check and welding gage for A-pillar mount
  13. Install A-pillar paneling with check and welding gage for A-pillar mount, fit and fasten.
  14. Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes (areas R and AW).
  15. Remove check and welding gages, side portal frames, A-pillar paneling, center A-pillar, longitudinal member, inner A-pillar, wheelhouse, reinforcement on cross member, cross member on firewall, bottom cross member below windshield and half of fire wall and deburr rivet holes on both sides.

  16. Install firewall half and fasten with clamping pliers and screw-on clamping grippers.
  17. Weld in firewall half and main floor with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area I).
  18. Weld in firewall with SHIELDED GAS STITCH WELD (area A).
  19. Grind MIG welds down flat at connection surfaces.
  20. Clean inner welding areas with wire brush and coat with zinc dust paint (area A).
  21. Rivet firewall and drive shaft tunnel with Polygrip 6.4 x 14 mm dia. flat head rivets (areas G and J).

    IMPORTANT Areas connected with cross member to firewall are not riveted.

  22. Install cross member at firewall and wheelhouse and fasten with clamping pliers and screw-on clamping grippers.
  23. Remove wheelhouse.

  24. Rivet cross member on firewall and firewall with Polygrip 6.4 x 14 mm dia. flat head rivets (areas H, AE, AF and AH).
  25. Weld in cross member on firewall and firewall half with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas AG and AX).
  26. Clean inner welding areas with wire brush and coat with zinc dust paint (area AG).
  27. Install wheelhouse and fasten with straightening tool, clamping pliers and screw-on clamping grippers.
  28. Rivet wheelhouse and firewall half Polygrip 6.4 x 14 mm dia. flat head rivets (areas E, F and AT).
  29. Weld in wheelhouse and firewall half with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas AY, BA and BB).
  30. Weld in wheelhouse and cross member at firewall with SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (area AZ).
  31. Clean inner welding areas with wire brush and coat with zinc dust paint (area AY).
  32. Rivet wheelhouse and cross member on firewall with 6.4 x 14 mm dia. Polygrip flat head rivets (areas H and AS).
  33. Weld in wheelhouse and firewall half with SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (area BC).

  34. Install upper cross member below windshield, bottom cross member below windshield and inner A-pillar with cross member below instrument panel, straightening tool, side portal frame, check and welding gages, screw-on clamping gripper and clamping pliers, fit and fasten.
  35. Tack weld upper cross member below windshield (area AI).
  36. Remove cross member below instrument panel, check and welding gages, inner A-pillar and bottom cross member below windshield.

  37. Weld in upper cross member below windshield with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area AI).
  38. Weld in upper cross member below windshield with SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (area AM).
  39. Rivet upper cross member below windshield and inner A-pillar with 6.4 x 14 mm dia. Polygrip flat head rivets (area AJ).
  40. Clean inner welding areas with wire brush and coat with zinc dust paint (area AI).

  41. Install bottom cross member below windshield, inner A-pillar and reinforcement on cross member with cross member below instrument panel, check and welding gages, screw-on clamping gripper and clamping pliers, fit and fasten.
  42. Upper cross member below windshield, lower cross member below windshield and firewall POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas BH and BG).

  43. Rivet upper cross member below windshield, bottom cross member below windshield and right inner A-pillar with 6.4 x 14 mm dia. Polygrip flat head rivets (areas AJ, AK and AL).
  44. Rivet reinforcement on cross member and cross member on firewall with 6.4 x 14 mm dia. Polygrip flat head rivets (area AS).
  45. Weld in lower cross member below windshield, firewall half and reinforcement at cross member partly with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas BD and BE).
  46. Remove cross member below instrument panel and finish welding (areas BD and BE).

  47. Weld in upper cross member below windshield, bottom cross member below windshield and inner A-pillar with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area BF).
  48. Weld in firewall half, main floor and inner A-pillar with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area O).
  49. Weld in inner A-pillar with SHIELDED GAS STITCH WELD (area D).
  50. Rivet firewall half and inner A-pillar with 6.4 x 14 mm dia. Polygrip flat head rivets (area AQ).

  51. Weld in inner A-pillar with SHIELDED GAS STITCH WELD (areas C, D and Q).
  52. Grind MIG welds down flat at connection surfaces (areas C and D).
  53. Weld in inner A-pillar and wheelhouse with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas BJ and BR).
  54. Weld in inner A-pillar with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area S).
  55. Clean inner welding areas with wire brush and coat with zinc dust paint (areas C, D, S, Q, BJ and BR).
  56. Weld in inner A-pillar and wheelhouse with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas AO and BS).
  57. Rivet inner A-pillar and cross member on firewall with 6.4 x 14 mm dia. Polygrip flat head rivets (area AR).
  58. Clean inner welding areas with wire brush and coat with zinc dust paint (areas AO and BS).
  59. Remove check and welding gage for A-pillar mount

  60. Install center A-pillar and longitudinal member with check and welding gage, clamping pliers and screw-on clamping gripper and fasten.

    IMPORTANT Use spacers.

  61. Weld in longitudinal member and inner A-pillar with SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (area BL).
  62. Weld in longitudinal member and inner A-pillar with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas L and BK).
  63. Weld in longitudinal member with SHIELDED GAS STITCH WELD (area M).
  64. Grind MIG weld down flat at connection surfaces (area M).
  65. Remove center A-pillar.
  66. Clean inner welding area with wire brush and coat with zinc dust paint (area BL).

  67. Install center A-pillar with check and welding gage, clamping pliers and screw-on clamping gripper and fasten.

    IMPORTANT Use spacers.

  68. Rivet center A-pillar and longitudinal member with 6.4 x 14 mm dia. Polygrip flat head rivets (area AU).
  69. Rivet center A-pillar and wheelhouse with 6.4 x 14 mm dia. Polygrip flat head rivets (area AV).
  70. Weld in center A-pillar and longitudinal member with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area BN).
  71. Weld in center A-pillar with SHIELDED GAS STITCH WELD (area U).
  72. Weld in inner A-pillar, center A-pillar and upper cross member below windshield with SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (area BI).
  73. Grind MIG weld down flat at connection surfaces (area U).
  74. Clean inner welding areas with wire brush and coat with zinc dust paint (area U).
  75. Remove check and welding gage for A-pillar mount

  76. Install A-pillar paneling with check and welding gage, clamping pliers and screw-on clamping gripper and fasten.
  77. Weld in A-pillar paneling with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas K and AB).
  78. Weld in A-pillar paneling and center A-pillar with SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (areas AP and BR).

    IMPORTANTSHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD Weld in with and grind down flat (areas AP and BR).

  79. Rivet A-pillar paneling and longitudinal member with 6.4 x 14 mm dia. Polygrip flat head rivets (area R).

  80. Rivet A-pillar paneling with 6.4 x 14 mm dia. Polygrip flat head rivets (area AW).
  81. Weld in A-pillar paneling with SHIELDED GAS STITCH WELD (areas P and T).
  82. Grind MIG welds down flat and clean with wire brush (areas P and T).
  83. Install partition wall, fit and fasten with clamping pliers.
  84. Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes (areas AC and BM).
  85. Spot-drill hole (area BQ).
  86. Remove partition wall and deburr rivet holes on both sides.

  87. Install partition wall, fasten with clamping pliers and screw-on clamping grippers.
  88. Weld in partition wall with SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (area BQ).
  89. Weld in partition wall with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area AD).
  90. Weld in partition wall and wheelhouse with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas BO and BP).
  91. Rivet partition wall and cross member on firewall with Polygrip 6.4 x 14 mm dia. flat head rivets (area AC).
  92. Polygrip Rivet partition wall and wheelhouse with 6.4 x 14 mm dia. flat head rivets (area BM).
  93. Remove vehicle from straightening bench and lift up.
  94. Spot-drill hole at main floor from below (area G1).
  95. Weld in main floor and firewall half with SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (area G1).
  96. Fill B-pillar and longitudinal member paneling with filling solder in shaded areas and smooth.
