Function

Using the gearshift lever of the sequential center shifter console it is possible to shift the transmission into the optimum gear for accelerating or decelerating the vehicle.

Tapping and holding the gearshift lever towards "-"

After the gearshift lever is briefly held towards "-" the transmission is held in the lowest permissible gear, from which the vehicle can be favorably accelerated or decelerated. If the gearshift lever continues to be held after a shift has taken place, further downshifts can be triggered depending on the vehicle acceleration and speed.

NOTE: A shift into 1st gear is excluded for comfort reasons.

Tapping and holding the gearshift lever towards "+"

After the gearshift lever is briefly held towards "+" the transmission automatically shifts into the highest permissible gear. If the gearshift lever continues to be held after a shift has taken place, further upshifts can be triggered depending on the vehicle acceleration and speed.
