Oil reservoir with vent, function - GF26.60-P-4006-03A

Models 203, 208, 209, 211, 230

Operation

The hydraulic oil reservoir (7) stores the hydraulic oil (Pentosin) and supplies it to the hydraulic pump. An oil filter is integrated into the hydraulic oil reservoir (7).

The impact plate (7e) splits the oil chamber into two parts. This is necessary to prevent the oil from sloshing around while the vehicle is moving.

The oil is supplied via the riser (2c). The riser (7d) is used to check the oil level.

The system is bled via the vent cap (7a) screwed onto the side of the transmission housing.

The vent cap (7a) features a labyrinthine orifice. This passage is the connection to the outside atmosphere.

To ensure that the venting system can operate properly under all service conditions, two diagonally arranged vents have been accommodated on the transmission housing. These are connected to the vent cap (7a) by means of rubber hoses.
