Gear recognition sensor, function - GF26.19-P-4007-02A

Models 203, 208, 209, 211, 230

Operation

The gear recognition sensor (B56/1) is a PLCD (permanent-magnetic linear contactless displacement) position sensor. It operates according to the inductive principle. A magnet is passed before a fixed coil located in the sensor housing (1), splitting the coil into two zones of different length. The resultant saturations of the magnetic field are analyzed electronically and transmitted to the automated manual transmission control module (N15/6) in the form of an analog signal.
