The vehicle level is either raised or lowered according to the vehicle speed and the setting of the level adjustment switch. There are 3 possible vehicle levels:

Normal vehicle level
Lowered vehicle level (automatic only)
Raised vehicle level (manual only)

The switch position selected by the driver is saved even after the ignition is turned off until the driver changes the setting again manually or until the setting is canceled automatically after a certain speed or time threshold is exceeded.

Level adjustment switch actuated (effective from 0 km/h to < 120 km/h)

Engine running
The vehicle is set to the normal level A (0 mm).
The raised vehicle level C (25 mm) is set shortly after the driver actuates the switch.
Display on multifunction display of instrument cluster: "AIRmatic lifting vehicle".
At v >80 km/h for longer than 5 minutes - driver's request for "raised level" is canceled and vehicle level is lowered to normal level A (0 mm).
Display on multifunction display of instrument cluster: "AIRmatic level selection canceled".
At v >120 km/h - driver's request for "raised level" is canceled and vehicle level is lowered (immediately) to normal level A (0 mm).
Display on multifunction display of instrument cluster: "AIRmatic level selection canceled".
At v >140 km/h - vehicle level lowered automatically to lowered level B (-15 mm).
At v <70 km/h vehicle level is reset to normal level A (0 mm).

If the vehicle speed v >80 km/h is not maintain for longer than 5 minutes or if the vehicle does not exceed v =120 km/h, the vehicle remains raised until the driver sets the level adjustment switch to "normal level".

Level adjustment switch not actuated

Engine running
The vehicle is set to the normal level A (0 mm).
At v >140 km/h - vehicle level lowered automatically to lowered level B (-15 mm).
At v <70 km/h vehicle level is reset to normal level A (0 mm).

NOTE: With the comfort and sport switch if the setting "Sport 1" or "Sport 2" is set, the vehicle is lowered to the lowered level (-15 mm).
