Steering damper pressurized (I)
The high-pressure oil passes unrestricted through four holes in the perforated disk (5b) and past the return plate (5a) against the force of the return spring (5c) to one of the working cylinders.
Damped return pressure (II)
The oil flowing from the opposite working cylinder is forced through four other holes in the perforated disk (5b). This pushes up the disk spring (5d) and pumps the oil into the return line. This restricted pressure provides the required damping effect.
