Function 

The heat exchanger shutoff motor (M16/32) opens and closes the flow of temperature-controlled coolant to the heat exchanger.

The heat exchanger shutoff motor (M16/32) is controlled by the driver-side SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) such that a sufficient quantity of temperature-controlled coolant is made available.

Opening of heat exchanger shutoff motor (M16/32) 

The heat exchanger shutoff motor (M16/32) is opened as soon as a heat output requirement exists.

Closing of heat exchanger shutoff motor (M16/32) 

The heat exchanger shutoff motor (M16/32) is closed as soon as no heat output requirement exists.
