Function 

The AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) or comfort automatic air conditioning (N22/7) passes on a control voltage of 0 % to 100 % to the blower regulator (A32n1) via climate bus 1. Depending on the control voltage applied this then regulates the operating voltage for the blower motor (A32m1). This achieves a control of blower speed from 0 % to 100 %.

The blower regulator (operating voltage) is influenced by the following factors:

• Blower output adjustment (AUTO/manual)
• Operating functions (AC OFF, REST, air distribution)
• Mode status (heating, cooling)
• Intensity of sun
• coolant temperature
• Vehicle speed
• Outside temperature
• Humidity
• Fresh air/recirculated air flap setting
• Position of activated carbon filter flap
• Flap positions
• Terminal 15 (blower ON), starter running (blower OFF)

Stage 1 10% blower capacity

Stage 2 18% blower capacity

Stage 3 25% blower capacity

Stage 4 32% blower capacity

Stage 5 40% blower capacity

Stage 6 52% blower capacity

Stage 7 65% blower capacity

Stage 8 80% blower capacity

Stage 9 100% blower capacity
