Protection of repair area with heat-shrinkable tube 

1. Slide heat-shrinkable tube over the repair area.
2. Heat the heat-shrinkable tube using hot air blower until it lies evenly against the repair area.

Protection of repair point by corrugated hose. 

1. Lay corrugated hose over repair point.
2. Wrap insulation tape around corrugated hose at both ends.

Protection of repair point by wrapping round fabric tape. 

1. Wind fabric tape around the repair point as per the original condition.

   Primarily fabric tape is used for the visual adaptation of the repair point and to protect against chafing. In vehicle areas with higher loads (e.g. engine compartment), fabric tape should only be used in combination with other (watertight) safety measures.
