Functions in the case of ignition ON:

The gasoline, injection and ignition system (in the ME-SFI [ME] control unit) is supplied with a voltage.
To protect against cylinder flooding, the fuel pump is actuated for approx. 5 seconds (only for first "Ignition ON")
The engine diagnosis indicator lamp or CHECK ENGINE lights up in the instrument cluster (lamp check).
Data exchange with the EIS [EZS] control unit (terminal 50 signal and drive authorization system) takes place via the CAN data bus.
The fault memory can be read out and erased via the data link connector.
Correction programming or diagnosis can be undertaken using STAR DIAGNOSIS via the data link connector.
The throttle valve actuator checks its return spring (via the position of the throttle valve) may lead to a positioner adaptation.
The tumble flap switchover is actuated and a check is performed to ensure that the end positions have been reached.
