  1. Install side wall with portal frame and welding device, adapt and fix with clamping pliers.
  2. Install and adapt roof paneling.

    IMPORTANT Use spacers.

  3. Insert taillamp, install rubber seal and striker eye.

    IMPORTANT Use washers for adjusting the gaps and transitions.

  4. Check and adjust gaps between:

    Rear fender and taillamp

    Rear window and D-pillar

    Rear door and bottom side section

    Liftgate and rear fender

    Taillamp in liftgate and taillamp.

    IMPORTANT Use feeler gage.

  5. Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes (area P).
  6. Remove rear fender and side wall.
  7. Deburr rivet holes on both sides

  8. Apply MB body sealant on foam parts in cross-hatched areas on wheel well and C-pillar.

    IMPORTANT Damaged foam parts must be removed and replaced.

  9. POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD side wall (areas Q, D, H, K, L, F and E).
  10. SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD side wall (areas I, J and M).
  11. SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD rear fender (area A).

    IMPORTANT Make weld seam in intervals, let cool down, reduces heat distortion.

  12. River rear fender and outer longitudinal member with Polygrip Ø 6.4x14 mm flat head rivets (area P).
  13. POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD side wall (area R).

  14. SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD side wall (area B).

    IMPORTANT Make weld seam in intervals, let cool down, reduces heat distortion.

  15. POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD side wall (area C).

  16. POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD side wall (area N).
  17. Readjust spot welding flange on wheel well with crimping iron.

    IMPORTANT Spot weld flange position analog to undamaged vehicle side.

  18. Grind down weld joints and clean with wire brush
  19. Solder and smooth side wall in cross-hatched areas.
