	Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.	Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.	AS42.50-Z-0001-01A

1	Switch ignition off, remove ignition key (transmitter key)	On vehicles with code 889 Keyless-Go: Press Keyless-Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove Keyless Go transmitter card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond transmitter range (min. 2 m).
2	Remove right engine intake air duct	Model 211, 219
	Clean
3	Clean the hydraulic unit (A7/3) in the area of the brake line connections	Before opening the brake system the area around the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Even the smallest particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the brake system. Only use clean, lint free rags and cleaner free of mineral oil. Do not use any compressed-air for cleaning when the brake system is open.

4	Disconnect electrical connector on control unit (N47-5)	Observe notes, otherwise damage to the locking mechanism can occur! Do not touch, deform or damage contacts of connector and jack! Do not allow any foreign objects or fluids to enter the jack or connector!	AR42.45-P-0820-02T
5	Remove bolt (1a) from holder (1) of wiring harness	Model 211, 219
			Do not  open cable ties (1k)!

6	Identify brake line (2) relative to the corresponding connection on the hydraulic unit (A7/3)
7	Detach brake lines (2) from hydraulic unit (A7/3)	Seal brake lines (2) and connections on the hydraulic unit (A7/3) in order to prevent the ingress of foreign objects. Collect brake fluid which escapes with a clean, lint-free rag. Installation:  Pay attention to stress/chafe-free routing of brake lines (2).

8	Pull hydraulic unit (A7/3) with holder (3) upwards out of the rubber mount (3g)	Check rubber mount (3g) for damage and correct seat, replace if necessary.
9	Detach holder (3) from hydraulic unit (A7/3)	When replacing the hydraulic unit (A7/3)

10	Install in the reverse order
11	Bleed brake system		AR42.10-P-0010T
12	Carry out commissioning of control unit (N47-5) using STAR DIAGNOSIS

13	Carry out transposition check using STAR DIAGNOSIS
14	Read out fault memory with STAR DIAGNOSIS and erase if necessary
