Remove/install door lining on rear-end door - AR72.20-P-3520T

MODIFICATION NOTES

8.1.04 Disconnect/connect/remove ground line from battery
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/Install    
1 Switch off luggage compartment lamp (E18/1) by locking the rear-end door lock with suitable screwdriver IMPORTANTInstallation:  Actuate opening handle on inside of rear-end door (9) to unlock the rear-end door lock.  
2 Unclip upper paneling (1) on retaining clips (4, 5) from rear-end door (9) with mounting wedge and remove IMPORTANT Do not remove upper paneling (1) when only lower paneling (2) must be removed  
    SPECIAL TOOL *110589035900
    IMPORTANTInstallation:  Replace defective retaining clips (4, 5)
Ensure that upper paneling (1) is seated correctly
 
3 Remove expanding clips (6)    
4.1 Remove bottom paneling (2) until electrical connector on rear-end door closing button (S62/35) is accessible and disconnect electrical connector on rear-end door closing button (S62/35) On vehicles with code (890) Automatic rear-end door  
5.1 Remove bottom paneling (2) until electrical connector on loading floor switch (S150) is accessible and disconnect electrical connector on loading floor switch (S150) On vehicles with code (943) Automatically extending main loading floor  
6.1 Remove bottom paneling (2) until electrical connector on trunk lid Keyless go button (S62/21) is accessible and disconnect electrical connector on trunk lid Keyless go button (S62/21) On vehicles with code (889) Keyless go  
7 Remove bottom paneling (2) from rear-end door (9)    
8 Remove bolt (7)    
9 Slide handle flap frame (8) in direction of arrow (arrow A) and remove    
10 Lift center paneling (3) in area of inner handle flap with mounting wedge (arrow B) SPECIAL TOOL *110589035900
11 Slide center paneling (3) in direction of arrow (arrow A) and lower until electrical connector on luggage compartment lamp (E18/1) is accessible    
12 Disconnect electrical connector from luggage compartment lamp (E18/1) and remove center paneling (3)    
13 Install in the reverse order
