Rear door control unit task - GF72.29-P-4102-03T

The left rear door control unit (N69/3) or right rear door control unit (N69/4) has the following tasks:

Reading in following sensors 

Left rear door control unit (N69/3):

• Hall sensors of left rear power window motor (M10/5)

right rear door control unit (N69/4):

• Hall sensors of right rear power window motor (M10/6)

Scanning the following switches: 

Left rear door control unit (N69/3):

• Left rear power window switch (S21/3) or
• Left rear seat heater/power window switch group (S51/3) (with code (872) Electric seat heater for left and right rear seat).

right rear door control unit (N69/4):

• Right rear power window switch (S21/4) or
• Left rear seat heater/power window switch group (S51/4) (with code (872) electric seat heater for left and right rear seat)

The left rear door control unit (N69/3) or right rear door control unit (N69/4) is connected with the controller area network bus class B (interior compartment) (CAN-B) for exchanging data:

Actuating the following equipment: 

Left rear door control unit (N69/3):

• Left rear power window motor (M10/5)
• left rear door entrance and exit lamp (E17/5)
• left rear door inside handle illumination (E17/13)
• Rear left door warning lamp (E17/20)
• Control illumination of switches connected to door control units.

Right rear door control unit (N69/4):

• Right rear door entrance and exit lamp (E17/6)
• Right rear door inside handle illumination (E17/14)
• Rear right door warning lamp (E17/22)
• Right rear power window motor (M10/6)
• Right rear door CL [ZV] motor (M14/9)

On model 211.6 the number of power window motors, door control units and switches in the rear can vary depending on the equipment and special body.

Task in combination with air conditioning 

The left rear door control unit (N69/3) and right rear door control unit (N69/4) sense the window positions of the rear doors and store this information on the CAN interior compartment.

The AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) (except code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) or comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) reads in the signal for the left and right rear window position to achieve better control quality in the open position.

Air recirculation comfort closing (except vehicles as of model year 09/AJ08 with code (494) USA version or code (460) Canada version) 

The comfort closing function is activated for longer than 1.5 s by pressing the air recirculation switch (N22s2) (except code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) or air recirculation switch (N22/7s2) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning). The left rear door control unit (N69/3) and right rear door control unit (N69/4) store the corresponding momentary window position and close them automatically.

When the air recirculation switch (N22s2) (except code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) or air recirculation switch (N22/7s2) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) is pressed again for longer t > 1.5 s, the comfort closing function is terminated ant the windows are moved back to the stored position.
