Front passenger side door control unit, purpose - GF72.29-P-4106-03TT

The right front door control unit (N69/2) has the following purpose:

Controlling 

• Front right power window
• Right front central locking
• Right front outside mirror adjustment
• Turn signal lamp in right front outside rearview mirror

Reading in following sensors 

• Right front IR receiver unit (A26/2) (only with code (498) Japan version or code (494) USA version)
• Hall signals for right front power window motor (M10/4)
• Mirror adjustment up/down potentiometer (M21/2r2) (with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirror))
• Mirror adjustment in/out potentiometer (M21/2r3) (with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirror))

Reading in the following switches: 

• Front passenger power window switch (S21/2)
• Right front seat adjustment switch group (S92/2) (with code (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory)

The right front door control unit (N69/2) is connected with the Controller Area Network bus, class B (interior compartment) (CAN B) to exchange data.

The right front door control unit (N69/2) is coded via the EIS control unit (N73) as passenger or driver control unit. This description applies by analogy for vehicles with right-hand steering

• Right outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/6)
• right front door entrance and exit lamp (E17/4)
• Right front door inside handle illumination (E17/12)
• Front right door warning lamp (E17/21)
• Right front power window motor (M10/4)
• Right front door CL [ZV] motor (M14/5)
• Mirror up/down adjustment motor (M21/2m1)
• Mirror in/out adjustment motor (M21/2m2)
• Mirror heater (M21/2r1)
• Mirror fold-in motor (M21/2m3) (with code (500) Folding left/right outside mirrors)

Task in combination with air conditioning 

The right front door control unit (N69/2) senses with window position of the passenger door and stores this information on the CAN interior compartment.

The AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) (except code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) or comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) reads in the signal for the passenger door window position to achieve better control quality in the open position.

Task, air recirculation comfort closing (except vehicles as of model year 09/AJ08 with code (494) USA version or code (460) Canada version) 

The comfort closing function is activated for longer than 1.5 s by pressing the air recirculation switch (N22s2) (except code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) or air recirculation switch (N22/7s2) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning). The right front door control unit (N69/2) stores the momentary window position and closes the window - if open - in the automatic function.

After terminating the comfort closing function by again pressing the air recirculation switch (N22s2) (except code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) or air recirculation switch (N22/7s2) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) for longer than 1.5 s, the window is moved back again to the stored position.
