Convenience closing

Function requirements

Circuit 15 ON and
Window normalized and without active switch actuation
Voltage not to high or too low
Air recirculation switch actuated

Function

After actuating the air recirculation switch (N22s2) (except code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) or air recirculation switch (N22/7s2) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) (except code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) or comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7) (with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning) transmits the "Comfort closing" command via the interior CAN.

First the corresponding position of the power window in the front and rear doors is stored by the left front door control unit (N69/1), right front door control unit (N69/2), left rear door control unit (N69/3), right rear door control unit (N69/4). Then the front and rear door windows are closed automatically. The excess force limiter is activated.

On vehicles with code (414) electric glass titling/sliding roof, the position of the tilting/sliding roof is stored by the overhead control panel control unit (N70) and the tilting/sliding roof is closed.

On vehicles with code (413) Panoramic sliding roof, the position of the panoramic sliding roofs is stored by the overhead control panel control unit (N70) and the panoramic sliding roof is closed.

Abort conditions

Denormalization of tilting/sliding roof or panoramic sliding roof
Manual actuation during comfort closing function
Blockage detection
Failure of CAN message for t > 50 ms (CAN = Controller Area Network)
Actuation of excess force limiter
Circuit 15 OFF

If "Closing" via the air recirculation switch is initiated again during the "Opening" sequence before the stored position is reached, then the initially stored opening position is retained.

On vehicles with code (414) electric glass titling/sliding roof, the stored position of the tilting/sliding is actuated. On vehicles with code (413) Panoramic sliding roof the stored position of the panoramic sliding roof is actuated.

Comfort closing air recirculation switch

Function

When the air recirculation switch is pressed again, the corresponding front and rear door windows are opened until the stored position is reached.

Abort conditions

The interruption conditions are the same as for the comfort closing function.

If, after comfort closing, one of the windows, the tilting/sliding roof or the panoramic sliding roof is opened manually, this not considered during comfort opening.

On model 211.6 the number of power window motors and door control units in the rear can vary depending on the equipment and special body.
