Function
The request for intermittent wipe is read in during forward travel by the steering column module when the 2nd ring on the combination switch is turned to position "I" (interval) and transmitted via CAN-B to the rear door control unit, which actuates the rear-end door wiper motor (5 s interval).
The rear-end door wiper system is a reverse wiping system. This means that the integrated electronics in the rear-end door wiper motor automatically controls the edge change of the wiper blade after its has reached its rest position (start position) or its end position.
