Selecting telephone antenna, function - GF82.95-P-3001TMB

MODEL 211 with CODE (359) TELE AID emergency call system with CODE (494) USA version as of Model Year 09/AEJ 08

Normally, the telephone connection is established through the telephone antenna (A2/49a1), which is on the roof of the vehicle. In the event of a malfunction of this antenna, e.g. with a rollover, backup antennas are installed in the vent grilles at the left and right in the trunk.

The emergency call system control unit (N123/4) detects an antenna failure and then automatically actuates the left backup antenna, emergency call system (A2/54) and the right backup antenna, emergency call system (A2/55) via the emergency call system antenna splitter (A2/25).
