The following components are integrated in the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3):

• Graphics/and video capable 6.5" color display
• Multistandard disk drive for DVD video, audio CD and MP3 CD ROM
• Operating unit for control of audio/navigation and telematics functions
• Central processor

The COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) has a digital interface to the MOST ring.
